Buerlie Buried Again by Tribe

Published by kchofmann at 10:22 am under sports Edit This

Mark Buerlie had another tough outing against the Indians.  His first inning of work was enough for Cleveland to claim victory.  Buerlie has had tendencay this year where if the opposition hits him early he is not as affective. That is what you live with when you have a contact pitcher like Buerlie.  He will not overpower but he when he hits his spots he has no-hitter stuff like last year.

This was a bad start but he has shown signs of  recoverery and I imagine the White Sox are allowing him to just work it out.  It is funny that Buerlie a year ago was our best and now he has the worst record of any starter for the Sox.  The Sox beleive he will not tank like the 06 season and by going through that streak of losing he has become more aware of when things are going bad.  Its mostly why they gave him a new contract last year while Jon Garland was traded for Orlando Cabrerea.

I say do not worry Buerlie is the least of our concerns and the Sox fan’s should show patience.  At least the rest of the staff has picked him up lately and for closure the Indians have always been Buerlie’s hardest teams to beat.
